SPECS work with parents, early years services, schools and other agencies to improve outcomes for children from pregnancy through to school age by delivering a range of early intervention and prevention and parenting programmes to families in the Bray area. All of our services and parenting programmes are free of charge.

Happy Girl with Dad

SPECS works with a range of agencies to deliver a number of parenting programmes that help to make family life easier by finding ways of dealing with conflict, stress and parenting in general.

The Preparing For Life Home Visiting Programme is for families expecting a new baby in the Greater Bray Area. Baby massage and Parent and Baby groups are also available to new parents.

Early Years and Schools

Language Development

Preschool Class

SPECS works closely with local schools and early years settings to deliver mentoring supports and programmes such and Roots of Empathy. We also assist educators and children with the transitions from pre school to primary.

SPECS have a HSE Speech and Language Therapist who provides supports to local schools and pre-schools through programmes aimed at improving language development.

Family Support

SPECS provides supports to parents and caregivers of school age children in group and one to one settings including Parents Plus 6-11 yr and Non Violent Resistance programmes.
